Strategic Planning
The Joint Policy/Planning Council (JPPC) takes responsibility for the strategic plan which is framed according to a three-year timeline and reviewed annually. Development of strategic plan goals is facilitated by the two leadership councils, the Student Learning and Development Council (SLDC) and the Enrollment and Financial Support Council (EFSC). Academic Strategic Planning is facilitated by the Dean's Council which has a representative on SLDC.

Role:
- Collaborate with departments and programs that provide student learning and development services to review and renew operational plans and organizational structures.
- Implement operational plans related to college goals for student learning and drive evolution of the strategic plan to keep student learning as the overarching priority.
Enrollment and Financial Resources Council
Membership:
Chief Financial Officer
VP of Advancement
Dean of Admission
Asst. Director of Central College Abroad
Director of Marketing and Media Relations
Assistant VP of Institutional Planning
Consultants as invited
Role:
- Develop integrated strategies and optimize resources to achieve the enrollment and fund-raising goals of the college.
- Implement operational plans regarding resources needed to build vision in the strategic plan and drive the evolution of strategic plans to ensure Central achieves the recognition it needs in the public and alumni domains to realize enrollment and funding goals.
Joint Policy/Planning Council:
Membership: President and members of the Student Learning and Development and Enrollment and Financial Resources Councils
Role:
- Finalize the strategic plan each year and provide a forum for approving policies affecting all college employees.
- Provide oversight for continuous quality improvement.
Dean’s Council
Membership: Division chairs, two at large faculty members and a student representative.
Role:
- Represent the institutional view in academic matters
- Make recommendations on resource allocations
- Conduct academic strategic planning
- Act as an advisory group to the Provost/Dean of Faculty.
