Seminar 3/7/12: Analytics of Mechatronics, Erik Johnson

March 7, 2012

Mechatronics is a discipline that incorporates three different areas: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science, namely software. The talk will cover the basics of mechatronics but will primarily focus on the analytics of these systems. This focus will include how analytics is currently done, but will have an emphasis on a new analytic methodology known as agile simulation. We will discuss the advantages of agile simulation as well as a proposed structure for how this new methodology could look in practice.
