Seminar 4/4/12: Virtualization: From Hardware to Software, Dustin Green.

Every few years IT departments around the world must deploy new hardware to keep up with rising hardware requirements for software. For many this cycle of upgrades creates a large strain on budgets and countless work hours repairing and transporting physical hardware. With virtualization systems, hardware capabilities are replaced by software designed to mimic compatible hardware. This presentation gives an overview of virtualization and the different forms used in computing systems.
