60th Celebration Information

Upward Bound Alumni

Central College TRIO Upward Bound will be celebrating 60 years of service in 2026! Save the Date for the evening of July 2nd to come back to campus, reunite with UB alums, and see what the program is up to currently.  Anyone with ties to Central College TRIO Upward Bound is welcome to attend- alumni, former UB admin staff, former summer teachers, and former TCs, etc.- for any part of the day that fits your schedule.

Central College TRIO Upward Bound 60th Year Celebration!

Registration will open the first week of May!

Date: Thursday, July 2nd

Tentative Schedule of Events:

  • 10:00 am-4:00 pm – Check-in
    • Explore Pella or walk around campus while UB students are in class
    • Lunch at your own expense (Central Market will be open)
    • Mingle with other attendees
  • 4:00-5:15 pm – 60th Celebration Kickoff!
    • Past and present collide as current UB students + all attendees participate in an “Morning Announcements” style kickoff that will have you reminiscing, celebrating, and learning about where the program stands today.
  • 5:15-7:00 pm – Dinner On Your Own
    • Check out Central Market or head uptown to visit one of Pella’s many local restaurants for dinner.
  • 7:00-10:00 pm – Reunion/Social
    • Return to campus to enjoy time to reconnect with old friends, TCs, staff, and teachers.  Reminisce over old pictures, chat with others, or record a video testimony about the impact TRIO Upward Bound had on you.
