At the closing on April 14th of Dear Mother Nature: Defiled, the exhibiting artist, Ilse Schreiber-Noll gathered the gifts to Mother Nature left by gallery visitors to be burned in a short closing ceremony. The event was inspired by a Peruvian custom where similar gifts are burned to thank and celebrate Mother Nature.
